Why is Scout so looking forward to starting school?
Scout is looking forward to school because she wouldn't be bored and she could learn more. She was also excited to play with the other students.
Why does Jem not want anything to do with Scout at school? Is his behavior typical of an older child?
He is embarrassed and he doesn't want anything to do with his younger sibling. Yes, because usually older siblings get annoyed by younger siblings.
What do you think of Miss Caroline Fisher as a teacher? Can you find qualities which would make her good or not so good at her job?
I feel like Miss. Caroline has a mean side and a nice side and she is too strict for a first grade teacher. She yells at Scout for being smart practically and tells her her father needs to stop teaching her. Also, she smacks her with a ruler on the first day of school. But when Walter forgets his lunch she feel bad and gives him a quarter to go eat lunch down town.
