Vocabulary



Apathy- (noun) absence or suppression of passion, emotion, or excitement.

Appease- (verb) to bring to a state of peace, quiet, ease, calm, or contentment;

Ensued- (verb) to follow in order; come afterward, especially in immediate succession:

Imperceptible- (adjective) very slight, gradual, or subtle

Peremptory- (adjective) leaving no opportunity for denial or refusal; imperative

Undulation- (noun) an act of undulating; a wavelike motion

Imperative- (adjective) absolutely necessary or required
Unavoidable- (adjective) unable to be avoided; inevitable

Reiterate- (verb) to say or do again or repeatedly; repeat, often excessively

Conjectual- (adjective) of, of the nature of, or involving conjecture; problematical

Poignant- (adjective) keenly distressing to the feelings
