Exposition: Rainsford and Whitney are the first two characters we meet. They are on a boat to go hunt jaguars in the Caribbean cause hunting is there favorite thing to do. 

Inciting event: Rainsford hears gun shots and jumps up on the rails and falls over board.  He has to swim to shore and is having trouble swimming because of the huge waves. Finally when he gets to the island, he finds a mysterious mansion. 


Rising action: Finally  when he gets to the mansion he knocks on the door and finds a large man pointing a gun at him. Then this guy general Zaroff invites him in and tells him how he has read about Rainsford.  Zaroff tells Rainsford he likes to hunt  just like him, but he doesn't just hunt animals he hunts humans too  off of the ships he traps.
